Stamping Directly on Candles

This Mini Class is for Rubberstamping Directly on Candles. it. If you try it, please do share a
picture with us?

What you Need:

Materials:

  • candles
  • rubber stamps
  • inks
  • Cosmetic Sponges
  • heat tool
  • newspaper
  • paper towel
  • latex gloves
  • raffia and beads - optional
  • Powdered Pearls or Pearl X or any Pearlized powder\liquid
  • Pearl Top Straight Pins

What you do:

  1. Cover work surface with newspaper. Wear latex gloves so you don't get your hands dirty
     with the inks...
  2. Fold paper towel. Place candle on top of paper towel to catch melted wax and to keep candle
from rolling (if you are using a round candle).
  3. Heat an isolated area on the candle with a heat tool until wax begins to liquefy. Let the wax cool
slightly. Once the wax looks cloudy, press the stamp into the melted wax. Hold for a few seconds.
Repeat on other areas of the candle.
  4. Ink your cosmetic Sponge and start "sponging" on the areas that are stamped. You can use acrylic
    paints also.
  5. Using another makeup sponge, dip it into Powdered pearls or pearl X to give it a shine with gold
or any other complimentary color. Use a cotton swab (Q-tip) to highlight desired areas.
  6. Embellish your candle with a raffia bow and beads if desired. You can also use charms.
  7. * Use Pearl Top Straight pins by pushing them into the candle for decorations. If the pin is too
long, you can cut it with a wire cutter. (Becareful to dispose immediately of the cut tips!!)
