Rubberstamping Basics

HOW TO STAMP YOUR IMAGE:
  1. Select the stamp of your choice
  2. Press Rubber stamp to ink pad until all the rubber is covered.
  • If using a small inkpad it's easier to press the ink to the stamp instead, that way
    you won’t miss any spots.
  1. Press Rubber stamp onto cardstock
  • Press at all points of the block when you push down, to ensure a clear image.
  • Do not rock your rubber stamp to avoid having a double or blurry image
  • Lift rubber stamp straight up with even movement.

Note: A Sheet of Cardstock 8 ½ X 11 inches cut in half, will be enough for 2 cards
of regular size.

Color your image:

Select from:

  1. Markers, Watercolors
  2. Color Pencils, Chalks Pastels, Oil Pastels

When finished coloring, trim sides of card. Use decorative scissors or paper punches
on borders. You can use different colors of cardstock to create a layered effect.

Other Suggestions to finish your Card:

  1. Trim drawing with any kind of scissors. You can also make a silhouette
  2. Paste finished design onto a folded card/postcard or form of cardstock desired
  3. Cut desired color of text paper (Copier paper can be used) to fit inside finished card
  • Fold and glue to inside of card
  1. Use Rubber stamp to write a message inside or write your own
  • Calligraphy markers can be use for this
  1. Use Glitter, Buttons, Ribbon, Bows, or Charms to embellish your card.

How to clean your Stamps:

  1. Use a wet paper towel and press your rubberstamp into it, until no more ink is seen on it.
  • Dry it with another paper towel.
  1. If necessary, use a drop of mild liquid soap (non-abrasive) to get rid of the ink.

Remember: Some inkpads may stain your stamp, but this will not affect the quality of the rubber.
