|
What you need:
- Cardstock, different colors/light & dark
- Scissors or rotary blade cutter & cutting mat
- Double side tape or glue stick
- Regular tape
- Folded cardstock (card)
- Stamps of your choice (ornate, detailed & bold
also)
- Inks different colors
How to:
- Decorate 4 sheets of cardstock as you would for
making backgrounds.
- Cut strips ½ inches wide horizontally *** NOTE: The
can be different width if you like
- After cutting strips, arrange the first ones by 2
and secure with tape on the back.
(use tape Horizontally so they don’t come undone.
- Keep doing this adding one at a time different
color strips *** NOTE: Remember to
arrange strips in horizontal way
- After you are done with that, turn our strips the
right way with the designs facing you.
*** NOTE: You can cut all the strips, tape them, and then
decorate them with stamps
- Cut the strips vertically now with your rotary
cutter blade or with scissors
*** NOTE: After you cut them vertically, re-arraign them on an offset
manner.
*** NOTE: When you cut them vertically you will have one strip of
square with
different colors. That way the squares won’t match, that is the
Bargello Technique
- Arrange, as you like on folded cardstock to cover
the front of your cards. Tape down
with double side tape. *** NOTE: You can do this on a zigzag pattern.
Remember that
the squares should not match. You can also use a Wave Blade cutter or
decorative scissors.
You just have to match the design when arraigning the strips.
